I would invest $ 1 million dollars to a foundation called teleton it is located in mexico.  The teleton helps Mexican children with disability free of charge. Every year for the last fifteen years they have been doing an event to fundraise money every year they collect thousands of million pesos just enough to open a crit (teleton children's rehabilitation center) in a different city in Mexico. They just recently started helping children with cancer and their treatment is also free of charge . They still have a lot of work ahead of them but they want to establish one of their center in every city they can. I think they would benefit from the money because they might be able to open two rehab center with all the equipment it needs it will help a lot of families that do not have the money to pay for the treatment their child needs. They have been so many cases from where a child could not a single limb and after being treated in the crit they can even walk and sometimes talk. children from all over the world are accepted into these centers and I know this would help the children so much and improve their life, and their parents do not have to worry about the expenses and have their child treated by best doctors, therapists, and equipment.

If I could introduce a new idea to a primitive culture it would be the importance of hygiene. I would teach them the importance of hygiene and how it can improve their health. It would also help in decreasing illness . Hygiene is important because it prevent many diseases. I would teach them the importance of keeping their homes clean free of germs. hygiene can improve their children life style. I would also introduce the idea of modern medication. their is so many diseases that can be cured thanks to medication and they do not know about it. It would improve their society.

If I was given the authority to establish a holiday I would commemorate women's suffrage. I would like to commemorate this day because this is the day women were granted the same rights as a man. Everybody celebrate the 4th of July but when the independence was signed they were only doing it to the benefit of men. celebrating this gives more importance to the women right to vote if the nineteenth amendment was not passed then we would not be treated equally. The celebration would be like a normal day just acknowledging the importance of women suffrage. Being able to vote gives our country balance because then men would only make laws that benefit only them. This is why I would choose to commemorate women suffrage.

The best advice I have received is to follow my dream of becoming a lawyer even if my family is not economically. My family is always telling me to work really hard in school because that is the only thing that will take me somewhere in life. I know understand why they are always so interested in me having good grades or being placed in advanced classes. Doing great in school is important because I can apply for scholarships and be approved to my dream university even if my family can not pay for my education. I learned that studying hard is really important because I am the only one that can help in getting to my goal    nobody else  can help me get passing grades. Many people take education for granted and do not realize that after high school you still have to keep on going and it is not free as it has always been. My brother graduated six years ago and he was a great student but he started slacking off his to last years in high school and he chose not to attend college. I do not want to become the adult he is. My brother and his family have to live with my dad because he does not have a stable job. I want to be a successful adult that can sustain my family with my job. I know understand the importance of education and why the best advice I have received is to stay in school and do great at what ever I set my mind on.

A question that a university may not ask me is How was it being raised only by your mom with no other economic source? Personally I could not have asked for a better mom without her I would not be what I am now. My mom is a strong, hard working, independent women. She had to work long shifts just to get us by every month. When we first came to the U.S. we were staying with our uncle because my mom still could not pay for rent. She has worked as a medical driver, in this job she had to work extra hour just so that she could start paying for rent, I remember that she would wake up earlier than us at four in the morning and have my brother drive us to school and then come home until six in the afternoon.Even in difficult time were she did not have work I do not know how she did it but she still had money to provide us with a place to sleep in and food in our table. My mom always finds time for us, she is always supporting us in our decisions. Yes when we need scolding she put us back in to place. My mom is the best person I have ever met she has supported us both emotionally and economically we could not have asked for a better mother.

My movie starts when I am born into a family of three in San Diego California. It was only my older brother and me for almost two years until my mom became pregnant with my younger sister. My family lives in Tijuana but when my dad leaves, my mom decides we should go live to San Diego. I start my first grade in Montgomery Elementary school. While I was there I made great friends and teachers that helped me to go through the process of learning English as my second language. My dad comes back but my parents get divorced but we see my dad almost three times a moth sometimes more but we have to go Tijuana to see him because he is not allowed into the United States. After six year of being there I am promoted to Castle Park Middle School it was a scary change because I started alone even though I was with friends. After a little while I started to love my new school. In my second year of  middle school I become part of  a club known as the associated student body (A.S.B.) in this club I made great friends. I can say that being part of this is one of the best decisions I have made in my life. This is what I think would be my first fifteen minutes of the movie of my life.

"He does not posses wealth,it possesses him"
I believe that this quote means that when you are wealthy it makes you forget who you are. Some people may have so much power because of their money that they begin to dismiss laws or rules. Politicians are sometimes corrupt because of the power they possess that is given by the money, this exemplifies what the quote articulates. Some people are so ambitious for money that they would literally do anything to get it. when the quote refers to "...it posses him", the first thing that comes to my mind is that people actually murder others just to have economic gains. Other are so ambitious that in the process of obtaining that money they forget what life is really about. They forget about their families and only see for their own benefits. Sometimes money turn people into cold-hearted people with no emotions or care for other than themselves.Money make people forget about manners and values. They do not care if they hurt somebody on the way to the money . Sometimes people are so wealthy that nothing pleases them anymore. People lose themselves in their wealth nothing will ever be more important than money to them. That is why quote says " He does not posses wealth, it possesses him" , because money can be dangerous.

A contribution that I could make to a college campus is offer free tutoring center that would be open to any student and on any subject. sometimes paying a tuition and then paying for a tutor if needed can really be expensive that is why I would open tutoring center. the center should include tutoring groups as well as individual, form study groups were students can interact and see the subjects from different points of views. This center should improve the grades of many students and decrease the amount of students that drop out. Students can benefit from this because many work better in groups, or can help any student that is struggling to keep up with the class material. Tutors can give tips on what each class is asking for. I can also contribute to the diversity of ethnicity. I could join clubs that are related to my culture.I think these would be valuable contributions that I make to my college campus.

One of the greatest achievements that I have obtained in my life is the honor of being place in advance classes because doing good in school is the only way that I can repay my mom for everything she has ever done for me and my sister. Coming home from school and letting my mom know how I was placed in AP classes is one of the best achievements I had ever made because it makes me feel that even if I am not helping my mom economically I am doing something right. I have the honor of being one of the high school students that have been presented the opportunity to be part of the Lead America National High School Leaderships Conferences, this is a program that takes place in universities all over the United States providing workshops for different careers and at the end of the program they give you a college credit free of charge. Opportunities like these give make me want to keep on going and realize my dream of being a successful lawyer. Having my mom telling me how proud she is of us and that she could not have asked for better daughters made me realize that achieving in school is going to be one of greatest accomplishments that I am ever going to make in my life, because succeeding in school will greatly impact my life in a positive way. I will an educated person and ready to take on life with the necessary tools.

This past March my grandmother suffered a stroke this affected me emotionally. When she was taken to the hospital they had to do surgery in her brain to vacuum out the clog that was not allowing blood to circulate in her brain. After the surgery she was placed in the intensive care unit for a couple of days, so that the doctors can know how my grandma was responding to the surgery. The doubt of not knowing if my grandma's body was going to react to the surgery is one of the hardest moments I have ever gone through. When the anesthesia's effect passed the doctors discovered that she was not going to be able to move the left side of her body. The stroke also affected the right side of her brain, causing her to sometimes not remember little things. For example she tells us one thing then five minutes later sh is asking the same question. When they told me that she was not going to move properly, this broke heart because my grandma loves to cook, to dance, to go out with her friends but after this she is not going to do her daily life. Right after she was released my family agreed that if she was staying in rehab center , my grandma would be able to take her therapies daily which would make her rehabilitation faster and in no time she could be walking at least with a walking cane. Being there for a couple of months and she was already being able to move her leg was great.Seeing my grandmother work so hard for her rehabilitation, made me realize that we can really accomplish what we want we just have to set our minds to it and work really hard to get there. This incident also affected the way my family is. Before everything my family would at least do get together's once a month but this changed because my grandma was the one made the family come together. Every thanksgiving and Christmas everybody come to a big dinner/party at her house, however this year we all spent it in separate places. This affects me greatly because I sometimes feel like my family is breaking apart from each other. I do hope my grandma gets better because I am not only worried for her well being but also to my for my family  to be as close as we use to be. This how my grandmothers illness affected me.

One of the changes I would make to my high school campus is that instead of issuing tardy sweeps, which issue saturday school detentions, to make phone calls to parents inform that their student are issued mandatory saturday school. Tardy sweeps are not really effective because they only make you more late to class.  If you are late to class for three minutes those few minutes become fifteen to twenty minutes late that because the campus staff are issuing detentions individually. For students that are constantly being tardy this may be seen as an lesson for them but it still affects them greatly. A fellow classmate was late because one of the her siblings was ill and could not leave because their mom was not their. Although her mother called the school to inform the student was going to be late, she was still issued a mandatory Saturday school although it was considered an excused tardy. She was fifteen minutes late to class when she was five minutes school, because of this she lost the first section of the lesson. this scenario exemplifies how tardy sweeps can intervene with our education. Yes I agree with  handing out detention to students that are willingly late, however all the other students that are late and could not do anything about it why should they be deprived from those minutes their losing due to the fact that they have to wait in line to receive their detention slip. I would also change our bell schedule. we have four days of block schedule and one complete day but our starting time is at 9 am instead of 8 am. Due to the fact that we have collaboration Mondays we are released at 3 pm almost every Friday. It would allow everybody do everything they want to do on that day, they are many families that have to wait for their older children to be released and go to Tijuana and have to wait in a long line. Since Friday is the beginning if the weekend we should change our schedule to having block schedule  Monday through Thursday and on Friday be a full day and be released early. I would also remove SMI from our schedule , this was first introduced as an initiative for students to have good grades in their classes. Having an A or B would allow the student to leave the class that has SMI for an hour, while the students that are behind in the class can receive more help from the teacher. Right now we all have to stay for three hours in a certain class in some of my classes we are not required to do something we can just have to sit and do nothing unless you have to retake a test but they are very few students that actually do that. I believe that they should either remove it or make it function as it did the previous year. These would be the two changes I would make to my high school campus.

School attendance should be mandatory, because without education being provided to every person then our nation would be a third world country.Without education people would not know how to make the best decision that may affect their lives. Through education people can succeed in their life. Education is the fundamental basis in the process of overcoming themselves in life and full filling our dreams. without education what would we be? where would we be? Education helps move our nation without having educated people their would have not been somebody that could have been smart enough to make our constitution, our civil rights or maybe women would still have no voice in this government or maybe African Americans would still be enslaved. Thanks to educated people we have accomplished what our nation is now.

If I were able to communicate with any animal I would choose to talk to a dog. My reason for this is because a dog is always there, either you need protection or help from it in your daily life or just for company. They are many people that depend on their dogs to be able to go on with their daily life. For example people who are blind in some cases they depend on a dog to lead them, or even the police and firefighter dogs are so helpful to our society. It amazes me how intelligent a dog is because they understand from the simplest command "sit" to actually being able to save a life.  They don't even have to be professionally trained just the fact that they are so loyal to their owner and protective of them. A dog is always their by your side either just as company or as a friend that listens to you, or is with you  in the worst and happiest moments of your life.
